An evening with Henry Olonga

An evening of music and chat with former Zimbabwean Test Cricketer Henry Olonga. Henry will be sharing something of his amazing story, how he was banned from playing for Zimbabwe after taking part in the infamous 'black armband protest' against the regime of Robert Mugabe, and also his Christian faith..

Henry is now a renowned singer, artist and speaker. He is currently based in Australia but has been in the UK as part of the BBC Test Match Special team for the England v Zimbabwe test match and so this is a rare opportunity to see and hear him live.

The evening will conclude with a short explanation of the Christan message that has shaped Henry's life and work.

This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.

Please note that there is limited on-street parking on Priory Street and Micklegate. The nearest car park is on Nunnery Lane, a five minute walk from the church.
