Regular Activities & Meetings
Sunday Services
We meet for worship each Sunday at 10:45am and 6:30pm. Additional services are held on the mornings of Good Friday and Christmas Day, and at other times when appropriate. The congregation is made up of about 200 people with ages ranging from 0 to 100.
We aim to worship in a lively but balanced and Biblical way, and you will find a mix of modern songs and well-loved traditional hymns. Our Minister, the Rev. Gary Patchen, presents systematic Biblical exposition and we are blessed in being able to call on a number of excellent preachers on occasions when he is not available. Once every six weeks or so, we have an all-age worship service, led by a team from the church.
Communion is normally celebrated twice each month, during the evening service on the first Sunday in the month and the morning service on the third Sunday. We invite all who love the Lord Jesus to join with us. Song words are projected onto a screen at the front of the church and we no longer use hymnbooks except in an emergency. However, printed words are available from the stewards for those who have difficulty seeing the screen. A loop system is installed for hearing-aid users on the inner banks of pews. Wheelchair access is available through the side door of the church, near a wheelchair accessible toilet. Inside the church, there are spaces for wheelchair users to sit with family and friends.
The children and young people are in the morning service for the first 15 minutes when there is a children's talk and the birthday box, youngsters then leave for Club Sunday and Bible class. We also have a staffed creche for those below school age.
