York Baptist Church is located just inside the western city walls of the ancient city of York
Regular Sunday ServicesFamilies are very welcome and there is a créche during the morning service. The main church has an induction loop for the hearing-impaired and there is room on both sides of the church for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Visitors and regular worshippers alike are encouraged to stay after the services for tea and coffee.
We are a church in the Baptist tradition, and are part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain. There have been Baptists in York since the mid-17th century and the church has been on its present site since 1867.
Christianity Explored is a course for those who would like to investigate Christianity or just brush up on the basics. Our next course is due to start on Thursday 16th October and will run for 7 weeks. All are welcome to attend and there is no need to book and no charge made.
